The core of our craft is our local community. We utilize pure local water, local grains and potatoes, local maltsters and brewers, and produce the ultimate local distilled spirits. Growing Grains
The San Luis Valley is a resilient and vibrant agricultural community. We take pride in utilizing the products cultivated by local farmers and ranchers in forming the base of our spirits. Local craft maltsters Colorado Malting Company provide our base grains and malts.
Mashing Grains
Our initial mash is produced by local Three Barrel Brewing Co. under the guidance of their expert brewers.
Fermentation and Distillation of Grains
After the initial mash is produced it is delivered a few blocks down the road to the distillery where we pitch yeast, ferment, and distill the mash into the spirits you’ll find in bottles today.
Aging, Bottling, and Distributing
We chose to locate the distillery and our 1874 Distillery Tasting Room in the historic Windsor Hotel building in downtown Del Norte, Colorado as a final nod to our deep roots in the local community.
